Horse sounds

I never want Anna to stop playing. To say I love to watch her play is a severe understatement. She is so creative. I love hearing her line up her guys and act out stories from her head. One of my favorite new saying that she has started to say is "Mom can I have Dad? I have not had him for a long time." He is really good at playing too. They make sounds and roll around on the floor. It is such a pleasure to watch.

As I type this she is making him a pretend ice cream cone. Chocolate for her and vanilla for him. This morning she had a bunch of guys tucked in around him. I snapped a few pictures so that I never forget how much I love them both.

We decided to go to breakfast. Which is one of my favorite things to do but because I work the night shift I almost never get to do. I almost never get to eat pizza which is another favorite...Back to the story. After we ate breakfast we decided on a trip to BJs to pick up flooring to place under the pool. Anna was in the cart pretending to be a horse, Gerard was pushing the cart. The two of them were making some pretty realistic horse sounds. Anna was hiding under the floor mats. I was following behind far enough to watch and close enough to hear them. I passed this lady to thought Gerard a little crazy with the horse sounds until she saw Anna pop her head up out of the cart.

I am still chuckling over this one.

Third one gone

There are certain milestones that as a mother you hope you are able to be there for. I did not get to see many of those milestones for Anna. Well today was with her when she lost for third tooth. The first she lost with Gerard at a birthday party. The second one wax with Me-Me. Today it was my turn. We were snuggling on the sofa this morning. Anna asked me to hold her like a baby so I did. I do love those moments especially now that they are coming a whole lot less often. She started to wiggle the tooth and I could see that today was going to be the day. About an hour later the tooth was out. There was barely a drop of blood. we sent pictures to Daddy and called Papa right away.
I just love my sweet baby girl.

Our first beach day of 2013

Friday was the last day of preschool for Anna. We celebrated at the beach with friends. Here are just some pictures I never want to forget.

One chapter has ended...

Yesterday was packed full of excitement. Anna has officially finished her last day of preschool. How is it possible? I remember just yesterday I was debating on whether or not to send her that first year at all. She is growing up too fast. Here is the recount of her first day of preschool. Yesterday she came home with her symbol that she would move from play station to play station. It was bittersweet to see her little Anna apple in her back pack.

Anna will be switching schools next year. None of the children in her class will be in her new school. She has made a few friends that I know she will miss. Hopefully I will be able to host a few play dates with them. I met up with one of the mothers on Wednesday leaving Target. She mentioned that she was picking her daughter up from school on Friday so I asked if she wanted to play after pick up.

At first we decided on the park but at the last minute I asked what about the beach? I packed my beach gear (oh my do I need a bigger car) and we were off to the beach. Me-Me and Hans met us at the beach also. The three of them played for hours in and out of the water.

I talked to Anna about what our summer time goals should be. She mostly looked at me like I was nuts but I did my best to explain what I was thinking. Having made the decision to not take a class this summer really has freed up so much time. I plan on not wasting a minute. We do have some plans made and some that still need to be made.

Yesterday I actually broke out my camera again. I am not quite sure why I have not taken so many pictures as of late. So rather than write more I figured I will add some of the pictures instead.

Swimming lessons

I am sitting here at Anna's swimming lesson blogging in the hopes of getting caught up. The school year is coming to an end and we have been d
ebating what activites that Anna will be doing this summer. I like for her to stay busy so o e activitythat we have decided on is horseback riding camp. This morning I stopped by the horseback riding farm. I looked at the schedule and the camp for her age group was still available and will not interfere with our family vacation. I know Anna will be super excited about going there since in her mind EVERYTHING is a horse. She has such a passion for horses that I woild love to foster that feeling for her.

In other news Anna has really turned her attitude around concerning the babies. we have even been able to have two of them spend the night with us this past weekend. I think the difference is that the babies are starting to react to her. Lots of smiling. With each smile I can see her becoming more interested in them. Anna still has difficulty when they cry but over the past two weeks I have seen a big difference.

This past weekend we have done lots of shopping for our up coming trip. Gerard has no idea what to expect from the cruise as this will be his first cruise. I have even booked one of the axult dining experiences for us.  Swimming is over so bye for now.

An unexpected blessing

I promise to write more about this but right now I am watching Anna play with one of the babies.  The baby is responding to her every movement in a very positive way. Anna just told me how much she loves them.
